XipLink Wins $1+ Million Continuous Connectivity Order from Major Defense Customer

Order expands deployment of XipLink’s standards-based solution in demanding defense environments

XipLink Inc., the technology leader in WAN Optimization and multi-orbit connectivity, today announced that it has received an order valued at more than $1 million from a major defense customer in Asia for its high-speed link optimization and multi-orbit solution.

The XipLink technology will be deployed to improve application performance, resilience, and efficient utilization of high-speed communications links supporting the customer’s mission-critical operations. The systems are designed for deployment in harsh and demanding environments , where reliable communication, efficient bandwidth use, and resilient network performance are essential.

The solution combines link optimization, intelligent load balancing, adaptive Quality of Service (QoS), and real-time link intelligence to dynamically optimize network performance. By continuously monitoring link conditions and traffic characteristics, XipLink technology can adapt traffic management to changing network conditions and make more effective use of available capacity.

XipLink supports both Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking environments, providing flexibility for deployment across diverse communications architectures. The solution is also designed to work in conjunction with the customer’s existing encryption infrastructure, enabling network optimization and traffic management without requiring the encryption capability to be replaced.

A key capability of the solution is standards-based TCP acceleration using the SCPS (Space Communications Protocol Standards) framework. XipLink has made significant contributions to the development and standardization of SCPS, helping establish a standards-based approach to improving TCP performance over challenging communications links. This customer has depended on XipOS software for more than a decade with excellent support and no critical downtime, rewarding the organization with expansion into new networks and more opportunity for XipLink moving forward.

“Defense organizations increasingly depend on high-speed communications networks that must perform reliably under demanding and changing conditions said Jack Waters, CEO XipLink. “This order demonstrates the value of XipLink’s ability to combine optimization, load balancing, adaptive QoS, and real-time link intelligence to maximize the performance of mission-critical networks. Our support for both Layer 2 and Layer 3 architectures, together with our ability to operate alongside customer encryption, provides the flexibility needed for complex defense communications environments.”

The order represents another significant deployment of XipLink technology within the defense sector and reinforces the company’s position as a provider of advanced network optimization solutions for communications environments where performance, interoperability, resilience, and operational efficiency are critical.
