XipLink Announces TESSCO as North American Distributor
Provides local stock and support for growing demand

January 4, 2010 – Today XipLink, the technology leader in wireless optimization, announced TESSCO Technologies Incorporated (Nasdaq:TESS) as the company’s North American Value Added Distributor. Based out of Hunt Valley, Maryland, TESSCO will provide delivery and logistics support for XipLink’s XA-Series appliances throughout North America.

TESSCO is a value-added provider of products and supply chain solutions that are used to design, build, operate and maintain wireless systems. TESSCO has a strong reputation for rapid delivery of complete product solutions for wireless system operators, program managers, contractors, resellers, and self-maintained utility, transportation and government organizations. In addition to delivering fixed and mobile wireless infrastructure products, as well as mobile RF devices, TESSCO also offers wireless installation, test and maintenance equipment.

The explosion in wireless Internet usage has created an insatiable demand for bandwidth and capacity. The TESSCO/XipLink partnership will answer this demand by reaching network operators looking to reduce operating expenses, as well as wireless network users that simply want to increase bandwidth without purchasing and installing new radios. XipLink’s wireless WAN Optimization Controller (WOC) appliances are a natural, complementary addition to any wireless network. Typical users experience an increase in bandwidth of two to three times the existing capacity and frequently measure their return on investment in as little as six months.

XipLink products increase wireless bandwidth for all TCP applications by combining TCP protocol acceleration using industry-standard SCPS protocols, streaming data compression and Internet browsing enhancements specifically designed to overcome the common problems associated with all wireless links. XipLink products are easy to install and operate transparently over any network, including VSAT, Mobile Satellite Services and terrestrial wireless links. Sophisticated logical network classes enable quality of service configurations to optimize both fixed and mobile wireless architectures using one or more redundant hub-side appliances.

“The addition of XipLink to the TESSCO portfolio of products and services is an exciting move for us, as we enhance our solutions offering with one of the industry’s most advanced bandwidth optimization solutions,” said Jerry Garland, senior vice president of solutions development and product management at TESSCO. “By implementing XipLink’s technology, our customers can enhance capacity utilization of both satellite and terrestrial networks, thereby increasing their margins and revenues.”

XipLink’s XA-Series wireless optimizers includes a range of appliances that scale from 2 Mbps and 50 connections for use in small office / home office locations, to redundant high performance systems operating at 155 Mbps and 30,000 simultaneous connections. XipLink appliances support the XO-Option family, which includes a factory installed dynamic web cache option or an IPSec software upgrade.

“Demand for our products is rapidly increasing and this important partnership enables fast delivery and support throughout North America. TESSCO has built a valuable reputation for superior customer and logistics support,” said Jack Waters, CEO for XipLink. “We are excited by the endorsement this partnership will bring, as well as the new customer opportunities it opens for XipLink’s technology.”
